Amethyst are currently partnering with two NHS England National Centres of Excellence, to provide specialist care and support for patients with rare and complex conditions, using the Gamma Knife platform specially designed to treat previously inoperable brain lesions.
Their London centre is located at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, the UK’s largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. Our other centre is based in Sheffield working in close partnership with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
How to be referred for treatment at the Amethyst Gamma Knife Centre
If you would like to be treated at The Gamma Knife Centre at QSRC as an NHS Gamma Knife patient or private patient you need to discuss this with your specialist and or GP and your referral must come from them. If they feel it is appropriate they will refer you to a specialist at the centre. Your case will then be considered in detail by a multi-disciplinary team of experts to decide if Gamma Knife treatment is suitable for you. Below are step by step instructions on how to be referred for treatment.
